Fundraiser for the Andrew Weishar Foundation on April 25th

On April 25th, Sigma Rho will be holding a fundraiser to support our philanthropy, the Andrew Weishar Foundation. The foundation is named for Andrew Weishar, who before losing his three-year battle with cancer encouraged his loved ones to pay it forward and support families in need. The Weishar Foundation’s mission is to support the families of children and young adults who are battling against cancer.  Many active members of Sigma Rho were close friends with Andrew Weishar and the Weishar family, so we are very excited to be supporting such a great cause.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 dollars to support a family in need and to provide relief from the mental and emotional stress experienced while undergoing treatment. To reach this goal, we will be holding a Bags tournament and dinner at the chapter house on April 25th. All are invited and encouraged to participate in helping us reach our goal.

Many of us will also be attending Weishfest, a benefit concert supporting the Weishar Foundation, on July 15th in Crestwood, Illinois. For information about the benefit concert, visit www.weishfest.com.

For more information, contact our Philanthropy Chairman Kevin Morrison ’15 at kevinmorrison231@gmail.com with any questions on how to get involved with this great cause.
